No New Books

Well, November and December have been good selling months as I had hoped.  And although it's nice to be selling the books I already have it's hard for me to not be making a new book.  But I am stumped as to what I want to make next.

I've done Complicated, Intermediate, Simple and Super Simple.  I've done a tiny book.  I've done a book of foxes.  I need a new subject and I haven't quite figured that out.  Think maybe I should just start drawing and use it even if it isn't the freshest, newest idea ever.  Someone has already done a cuss word book.  Maybe I should do a book of negative affirmations.    That would be funny.  I'm awful at hand lettering though.

Maybe I need to do some meditation on this.  Maybe then something will come to me.

SUPER Simple Designs

I just finished a new coloring book that is EXTRA SIMPLE!!!  4 times more simple than Simple Designs.  I drew it with a fat marker and left out all of the detail that I so love to draw.  I did it for people with disabilities or any issue that makes coloring detailed images difficult.  I named it SUPER Simple Designs and it's available on Amazon.  It has 36 one sided pages (as always).

November's Coming!

OH MY!!!  November is coming and I am working hard on coloring pages.  But I feel like I am running in place.  Not finishing them fast enough.  I wanted to be doing something really different this time but I'm back to my same old designs.  There are a few differences.  I drew this last week and put it up to color as a free page on my Facebook Coloring Book page.

It's kinda different than my regular style.  It's inspired by some toss pillows I bought for the couch.

I have been thinking about selling my original artwork from my coloring books for Christmas or maybe ongoing.  Like $19.99 for each signed drawing and $3 shipping no matter how many you buy.  I have hundreds of drawings.  Not sure how I will decide which ones to sell or if I will just let people contact me and suggest the one they want.

As for having nothing to draw, I am drawing again.  I just don't feel I have much of a new direction.  I'm doing some cuter kinds of drawings and EVEN MORE FLOWERS.  Ugh, the fox book was so refreshing to draw that I am having trouble going back to plain doodles.  However the fox book is so specialized that it doesn't sell well.  I do better with general doodles.  Making some child-like landscape scenes.  OH WELL, at least I am drawing again.

I've Got Nothing!

For the first time since I started these coloring books I am not working on a book.  I started out drawing dragons and thought that I wanted to make a dragon book.  After a few failed attempts at drawing one and a couple of mediocre ones finished I think I am scrapping that idea.  Cannot get with making a Christmas book.  So what do I have going on right now.  I've got nothing...  I needed some inspiration so I rearranged the furniture int he living room.  Oddly that seems to be making me feel a bit more positive.  I really want to work on a new book and have it done before November 1.  But right now, I've got nothing.
