2 years ago I stopped
painting and started "Doodling." I was frustrated with making artwork
I felt that I HAD to at least try to sell. It was liberating to draw and not
feel that pressure. So I called my doodles "Art I Don't Have to Sell."
Even started a blog about it. (that I didn't keep up) Art I Don't Have to Sell Blog
Oddly these doodles
turned into my first coloring book, "Strange Designs." So surprise
surprise! I DID sell that art. I guess if there is a moral to this story it's
that sometimes when you give up and just work from the heart that's when the
magic can happen.
Here is one of my early doodles. Obviously didn't know it was for a coloring book since I colored part of it in.
